The fund raising
event was a big success, with over £1,000 donated to the
Children in Need appeal. A big thanks to the performers on the
night who gave up their time to come and entertain the punters.
And to everybody who attended and helped raise the money and
make a difference.
Fishing for
Compliments put in a great performance with some of
the old classics, and a big finish of Proud Mary. A good performance
put in by Richard (Drummer from Krisis) for providing unrehearsed
percussion throughout the set.
Fresh to the scene
Danielle Smyth impressed all with her unique
and powerful voice. The concert was a great opportunity for
her to showcase her talent and gain the experience of working
with a live crowd. Watch out for her performing near you!!
The Andy
Rackham Trio performed a brilliant set enjoyed by all.
This semiprofessional outfit really set the tone for the quality
of the songs played on the night. Look for these talented musicians
entertaining in your local restaurant.
The final performance
of the evening was put in by Krisis, drawing
everybody feet to the dance floor, and ensuring everybody went
home with smiles on their faces.
As well as performing,
Krisis donated a free gig to the highest bidder of
a closed auction. This was won by the organizer of another charity
event of which the band will be the headlining act.
Steve,
lead singer from Krisis, raised another £50
donated by his boss, to have both of his leg waxed live on stage.
When asked to talk about the experience, Steve add's, 'No Comment'.
Again, thank
you to all that attended, all that helped with the organization,
and the team of on the night event helpers. None of it would
have been possible without them.
Thank You!!
Regards
Chris
